Reba - We met some people at another campground, and they told us about Pickett State Park. We RV camped there in 2002, 2003, and 2004.

Campground Review

If you like peace and quiet when you camp, then this is the place for you. It's small with 40+ sites and only 4-5 that can handle 30'-35' motorhomes. They have great sites for pull campers and tents. They also have cabins, chalets, and a large group camp. If you love nature and natural sandstone arches, wildflowers, beautiful bluff overlooks, great hiking trails, and miles and miles of super ATV trails close by, then this is definitely the place for you. If you like to trout fish they have a small lake stocked once a month with keeper-size fish, and it's just down a trail from the campground. They have wonderful ranger-led programs each weekend for kids and adults. When we come here, we feel like we're coming home. All the rangers and personnel of the park are very nice and helpful.
