Wakisha - I found this campground while traveling in the area previously. We tent camped there in August 2002 and 2003.

Campground Review

This is a family friendly campground. It is a safe clean park with lots of activities for the kids. The pool is shaped like the state of Michigan, and it is fenced-in for the kids' safety. The rustic sites are beautiful, and they border state land so there are plenty of shady trees nearby. The campground is near Indian River, Burt Lake State Park, and also close to the Cross in the Woods Shrine, the world's largest crucifix. It's about a half hour drive to Mackinaw City. The staff were friendly and helpful. The restrooms and showers were clean, and the camp store was well-stocked. We've camped here for two years and will return this year. Highly recommended.
