Glenn - I found this campground in a flyer, and I RV camped there in May 2004.

Campground Review

I think this is a great campground because the prices are very moderate and the sites are the biggest I have seen in my six years of camping. The campground has no pool, but it makes up for it with two beaches on the lake. The campground is privately owned and operated. I would recommend this campground with a four stars out of five rating.

nicest camping experience in many years, Member holymackeral

me and 4 friends just got back from a great weekend trip to this campsite. we had an excellent time. our site was very big, and level, and was equipped with electricity, picnic tables, cable and....RUNNING WATER! what a conveinience that was! i brought my kayak with me, and the 4 other guys renting boats for the day, and we had a great time fishing in the HUGE lake. i caught a couple largemouth bass-one about 17"" and 2 1/2 lbs, and a nice little smallmouth. rumor has it that there are pike in the lake too. alot of weeds though, so bring the right tackle. all the staff was very nice, the facilities (showers and toilets) were clean. bring quarters to the shower though, it cost .25 for about 7-8 min of running water in the shower. they have a little general store there with items you may have forgot. i wish they sold temporary rhode island fishing permits though. you have to go down the street a couple miles to get one. the prices for the sites were worth every penny, and i look forward to spending more weekends in the woods at Bowdish Lake
