Jennifer - I found this campground on the state park Web site, and I tent camped there in July 2003.

Campground Review

If there ever was a campground that looks like the nostalgic vision of a camp, this is it. Moran State Park is situated on Orcas Island in the beautiful San Juans, and it is worth all the effort it takes to get there. The camp sites are situated on wooded hills around a jewel-like lake, where you can rent paddleboats and row boats in season, or go for a swim. Many of the park's structures were built in the 1930's by the Civilian Conservation Corps (CCC), and these beautiful log structures add to the overall picture postcard appearance of the park. The quaint village of Eastsound is only a few miles away if you need supplies, and the view from Mt. Constitution at 2000 feet, the highest point in the San Juans--is breathtaking. This is a park we go back to again and again, and every season we wish we could revisit it just one more time.
