Lucie - I found out about this campground at an RV show, and I RV camped there in June 2004.
Campground Review
I arranged for a club get-together to be held here sight unseen. All attendees of the gathering were very pleased with the graciousness of the owner and managers of the campground. It is located off of Route 30 in a quiet spot, next to an Amish farm and along a little stream. It has paved roads, gravel and grass sites with some pull-thrus. It has no glitzy amenities but well-maintained basics.
We had a lot of rain one of the days that we were there, and there were flash-flood warnings. The owner and managers were most concerned about our safety because of the potential of the creek rising and flooding the trailers so they gave us several options of other places to go for the night. We all evacuated the campground and stayed in the back of the Wal-Mart in Lancaster. We returned the next morning to find that the creek had risen, but not enough to have done any damage. We were able to reserve a large meeting room for a potluck dinner for another evening. We opted to have our dinner outdoors though at the last minute.
I believe what was most impressive about this campground was 1) the care and concern of the people in charge and 2) the location of the campground, off the road, quiet and peaceful.
