Walt - I found this campground on the BMW Motorcycle Owners of America Web site, and I tent camped there in July 2004.

Campground Review

Indian Scotty has 12 single and one group site. It is located next to the Scott River, which is cool enough to be refreshing, yet warm enough to get in and stay in for a while. The campground has no hookups for RVs, and there were none there in the week we stayed: tents only! One site is a walk-in site, so it's really tents only. The location is handy to a bunch of great roads. There's a market 12 miles away in Fort Jones and more retail services 30 miles away in Yreka. It's in that California elevation where live oaks mix with firs and pines, and at 2,500 feet it cools off enough to sleep at night. We thoroughly enjoyed it.
