Campground Review

This was the first time I went camping. My girlfriend and I bought almost every little thing we needed. We left the mallet to hammer the pegs into the ground. The ground was hard and packed at times because of rain. This was a great experience. We used reserveusa.com to reserve our site. There was only one left for that weekend. It was packed, but to tell you the truth, it was like no one was there.

We entered the park and spoke to the person at the main house. It is a great idea to buy some firewood while you are there. A bushel is about $5, which can last you one to two nights. We were given our map and told how to get to our site.

We arrived at our site, and it was clean and nice. There was a picnic table with fire pit, BBQ grill, and a post to hang your lantern. There are water spouts so you can fill up jugs of water. The security person told us it was safe to drink the water, but we still boiled it just in case.

The area is beautiful, and the people were nice and quiet. The pool (pure spring water) was so cold, 72 degrees as they say. Wow, what a shiver.

You need to do the canoe trip. It will take you the whole day. Get there early, because you need to finish the canoe trip by 4:30 pm so you can be picked up.

Overall, for a first time, it was excellent. I will be going back this September to see everything again.
