timkoops - I've been going to Baraboo my whole life, and I tent camped there in July 2004.

Campground Review

I think this is a great campground because you can have any kind of site you want, sunny, shady, wooded, etc. The bathrooms are pretty decent, but during the peak summer season expect it to be a little dirty. It's a great location if you want to kick back and enjoy the lake or go for some serious hiking. There is a great nature center that you can get lost in for an hour and come out with some history of the area. If you're planning on going up there to party, be very careful of the DNR (Dept. of Natural Resources) because they're not very friendly to people up there drinking and having a good time.
