Susan - I found out about this campground from a friend, and I tent camped there in August 2004.
Campground Review
This was my first experience camping for longer than a weekend, and my family and I had a wonderful time. The campsites are spacious, and most are right on the lake. They are free hot showers and good bathroom facilities. The lake water is clean, and the beach is sandy and clean as well. They have one of the best playgrounds I've ever seen for 5-13 year-olds, and there's also one for younger children. The camp store is exceptionally well stocked. They also have plenty of rental boats available, paddle, kayak, canoes, or row boats. I've saved the best for last, Scuba Steve, their awesome activities director. There is something scheduled from 9 am to 10:30 pm every day. The wet hayride is the best. They also offer candy bar bingo, pie eating contest, food fight, animal show, fossil show, family movie every evening at 5, and all kinds of things. Scuba Steve is really the heart and soul of it all. I will definitely be back.
