Jean - We found this campground in our Atlas while looking for state parks in our travel area, and we cabin camped there in January 2004.

Campground Review

The park is so serene with its huge pine trees and palmetto bushes. Most of the RV sites are private, and many are pull-throughs. They have electric and water, but sometimes when we have been there in January we don't hook up to water because it can get cold even in south Georgia. They have a camp host whose main job it is each night to light a large bonfire for the campers to sit around. There are nice hiking paths and a nice pool, but we have only been there in winter or spring so we didn't go swimming. It is about three miles from St. Mary's, a very lovely town with good shopping for most all your needs. It is one of our favorite campgrounds, if not our favorite.
