Tara - I found out about this campground from a brochure at the Maine visitors center, and I tent camped there in September 2004.
Campground Review
This campground is extremely large and clean. It is a real family campground with plenty to do. They have three pools, two Jacuzzi hot tubs (one for children and one for adults), a recreation room, and an adult lounge for shows and other activities. There is shuffleboard, horseshoe pits, volley ball, and numerous playgrounds. The price is a little higher than what you would normally pay for a night of camping. It's $42 a night for a site with water and electric. There is a trolley that will run you into town for $1 each way, which is a great way to experience Old Orchard Beach and its numerous attractions without the hassle of parking. This campground is clean, convenient, and well-managed. There is also plenty to do outside the campground (amusement parks, beach Boardwalk, etc), and it is situated across the street from a beautiful 18-hole golf course. I highly recommend this campground.
