Randy - I found this campground while searching for good kayaking sites, and I RV camped there in September 2004.

Campground Review

This is a piece of Lake Superior's awesome beauty. It's right on the lake with a boat launch and unbelievable scenery including a rocky shoreline, pristine sandy beaches, and wildlife. The campground id almost primitive, but it does feature electricity for the sites. Water is available only from taps. It's about five minutes from the famous "Lake of the Clouds," and offers hiking, cabins, boating, fishing, and miles of Lake Superior to kayak. Bring food, as prices are high at the local stores. Winter offers both downhill and cross country skiing. Lake Superior can be mean, so a weather radio is advisable.
