Brenda - I found this campground on the Nevada state parks Web site, and I tent camped there in October 2004.

Campground Review

After 28 miles on a dirt road, visions of returning to civilization and two kids getting terribly annoying in the back seat, the view made everything worthwhile. With great views from every site, this park offers more than a fair share of ohs and ahs. The lower reservoir trail is a comfortable 40 minute hike to the actual beaver dams. Go in the evening at around 4:00 for the best chance to find beavers out and building. Pahranagat wildlife refuge is also in the area. With wild life viewing of many endangered species this little lake in the middle of the desert is worth an overnight or even just a few hours to eat and relax.
