Johnnie - I became familar with this campground while doing business in the Austin area. I always look for places to camp and fish when I am on the road. This one was one of my favorite fishing spots so I decided to try the campground. I tent camped there in October 2004.

Campground Review

This campground is located on Lake Travis at the inside foot of the dam. There are only six overnight camping spots. The three days I visited there was only one other camp site being used. The park has scuba diving areas along with swimming, fishing, boat ramp, and day camping. I found the camp to be very quiet and peaceful. Being a solo camper I was able to do the reading and writing I had planned. The camping area is equiped with restroom and shower area. There is no electric or water at the camp sites, but other than that camping is enjoyable with a covered table area that was great for eating and prep and relaxation.
