Don - I found this campground in a camping book called "California Camping," and I RV camped there in July 2004.

Campground Review

This is a wonderful campground. The sites are large and wooded. We have always tent camped, and we like the wooded, more private type of campgrounds. Since it was our first trip in our new popup trailer, we were glad that the campground still let us have that wooded camp feeling rather than an RV type setting. There are great bike paths, and the main one leads to the lake about a mile away. There are hiking paths that head up into the mountains and the rim. The lake area has a great pier for fishing or swimming off of. We stayed for the 4th of July, and we watched three different fireworks displays across the lake. This is one of the better sites on Lake Tahoe. We will be going back in 2005.
