Cathy - My uncle found this place back in 1991. We booked it for the next July because our usual place couldn't accommodate us. I've cabin camped there in July from 1992 to 2004.
Campground Review
This place is the best in the world. I have been camping since I have been a very small child. We have been all over New England. We have been going to Acres of Wildlife since 1992. Each year our family grows more of us go for a week. Some of us tent, some of us RV, and some of us stay in cabins. They have it all. They now have an adult lodge that sounds nice. We now have about 14 families in our group that camp the same week. The park has plenty of activities for the kids. They have all kinds of big sites and quiet places. There is great fishing, and they rent boats. There is a restaurant and a well stocked store. They have up-to-date playgrounds, and it's a very safe place for kids. You have to travel down a three mile dirt road to get to the campground, and then there is a security gate. There is full time security on golf carts. The staff is friendly and helpful. You have to try it. You will keep coming back year after year like our family.
