Karen - My parents took our family camping at Cherrystone in 1978, and I have returned every year.
Campground Review
I remember when Cherrystone was a KOA campground and a Holiday Trav-L-Park. I remember rollerskating on what is now a tennis court, and the kiddie pool by the bay. I remember when cabins started going up and when Sunset Circle became a reality. I remember Mr. Plunkett selling snow cones off the back of a golf cart. But what I remember most is the feeling of being home when we turned off Route 13.
The location is great. You get a water sunset on the east coast. The atmosphere is very family oriented. My three year old loves WaterWars, and you can catch your own dinner. It's also clean, well-marked, and offers something for every type of camper.
