Donna - I found out about this campground in an article in Family Fun Magazine on best family campgrounds, and we RV camped there in March 2005.

Campground Review

The amenities make this campground great. The campsites are close together with not a lot of foliage in between to create privacy. The bathrooms are very neat, and there are washers and dryers. There are two beaches, one with coral sand, and one further into the campground that is a man-made grotto. My kids 6 and 8 loved this beach, and because the tide came in and out over the jetty, we saw crabs, a stingray, and all sorts of fish. We even saw a hermit crab in the brush. The state park offers coral reef tours with a glass bottom boat. There is a concession stand that offers basic meals and Edy's ice cream. There is a neat area in back where you can sit, eat your hamburger or ice cream, and look out into the mangroves. All in all the campground was a lot of fun, and the only drawback was the closeness of the campsites.
