Lim - I found this campground through an Internet search, and I tent camped there in July 2005.
Campground Review
This is a great campground. It is located near the edge of the Lake, and it has many campsites that are adequately shaded by pine trees. There is a bicycle path that leads all the way to the Big Bear Village. The dedicated bicycle path also takes you to the Discovery center via a tunnel under the main road, a lakeside picnic area, and the Cougar trail head. We camped at site 130, which did not have as much shade as we like, but luckily we had portable shade with us. The campground also has free hot showers attached to all the restrooms. Only thing is that the turn on button of the shower is too hard to activate and too high for kids, and you need to keep pushing the button to keep the water running. It is tough, if you have kids.Overall, with access to the lake and to the bicycle path, its a great place with plenty to do. We spend a lot of time kayaking and being so near the lake was a great plus. I am already planning a return trip in the future.
