Monica - I found out about this campground from family, and I tent camped there in July 2005.
Campground Review
We just stayed at this campground, and we were very impressed. The bathrooms and showers are top notch, attractive log cabin types, and they are kept very clean. The scenery is breathtaking, and nature surrounds each site. We saw both deer and bears daily. The private beach on Lake Serene is stunning. Their nature trail is well maintained, and it's a great semi-challenging hike for the kids. This campsite is for those who like to camp with amenities, which included the beach, electric and water on all sites, huge lodge-like store, an arcade, laundry, lounge, and playgrounds. All campsites also come with a large picnic table and a campfire ring. Sites are very well maintainted and cleaned after each use. Do not camp here if you are afraid of bears because you will see them. Food must be kept in your car, and I would not advise leaving take out food in it not in a cooler as our neighbor found out. Effectively cleaning up and garbage removal is essential here. One difficulty: There are very few tent sites available, as they specialize is cabins and cottages. Also note that campsites are very small, and few will accommodate two large tents. We will return. It was beautiful.
