Bert - I found out about this campground when we were part of a YMCA family camp group, and we RV camped there in July 2005.

Campground Review

Canyon RV Park offers tent and group camping sites as well as full facilities for RVs. There are restrooms with spacious and clean showers and a small store in the administration building that offers the basics at fair prices. Most of the campsites are spacious and near large open areas of grass. You don't have the parking lot feel here. The park is bordered by the Santa Ana river, which provides pleasing sights and sounds as the water flows over rocks and around bends. The Riverside Freeway also runs the length of the park, but is protected by the traffic noise along most of it by a sound barrier wall. At night the frogs singing are more noticeable than traffic noise. This was our first visit, but we will return because it's close and comfortable.
