Lori - We found out about this campground by some friends who are very familiar with the resort and the area, and we tent camped there in August 2005.

Campground Review

Cherrystone is great because there is something for everyone. We tent camped, and it was very nice. However, they have nice campers (they are all three years old or newer) that you can rent, cabins (some with AC) that you can rent, or even a cottage that you can rent that has all the comforts of home. If you have a camper, pop-up, 5th wheel, or motorcoach, you will not be dissapointed. There is so much to do here. Cherrystone has 700 or so camping sites, 4 pools (one for adults only), rental boats, clamming, paddle boats, and crabbing. Plus they have activities every day. The stores are all very affordable, and the staff is excellent. We will be back several times a year for many years to come.

My husband and I went camping for the first time on Labor Day Weekend at Cherrystone! We were in a campsite right in the middle of everything, I loved it! We were able to ride the paddle boats, swim, go to the dock for crabbing and fishing! We also ordered fried crabcakes for dinner one night at the produce stand! Also ordered corn, seafood pasta salad, tomatoes, etc! SOOO GOOD!The General Store is so convenient and has just about everything you need and some gifts too!Everything was within walking distance! Thanks for such a wonderful first time camping experience!
