Sidney - I'm a Georgia resident, and I tent camped there in August 2005.

Campground Review

I think this is a great campground because they have a friendly staff, there are on-site hosts, it is quiet, clean, and well-maintained, and the scenery is outstanding. We had a great time.

"A co-worker recommended this campground, and I'm glad she did! This campground is at one of the highest elevations in in the region. Located on top of what is known as Lookout Mountain (in Chatanooga), the formation of the mountain is actually somewhat like a mesa. Camping areas are spacious and well-maintained. There are great vistas from the parking area. Cabins are available and roomy. There is a well-maintained trail that descends the abrupt descent into the canyon where you can enjoy a couple of waterfalls. For a great view of the expanse of night sky, do what we did and drive up to the tennis courts. Gorgeous!"
