Campground Review
This is the best campground. We usually camp at another one, but it was full. I found this one on the Internet. We were a little unsure because we were never there, but wow what a great place. The beach is five minutes from camp. They have hot showers and might I say they were very clean. We were at a great site. You couldn't even see anyone around you. We felt like we were all alone except there were the cute little raccoons that visit and take what they want. There were many stories we heard each morning at the showers. They stole a whole bag of bread out of our tent. My husband left a box of juices outside. In the morning we found out they had opened each one and drank it Pretty funny. They open coolers right in front of you. We had fun watching how smart they are {after we out smarted them}. There is also great fishing. My 4-year-old caught a sheepshead all by herself. They have a camp store that is very reasonable. They even sell this stuff that helps the fire burn that was a great help.
There are bathrooms everywhere, and always a smiling face waving and saying hello. All the hosts and volunteers were fantastic. You can rent kayaks, wind surfers, canoes, and bikes. We went on a nature trail that was very nice. They had signs telling you facts about the trees, plants and dunes. There are cedar trees that smell so great. While you are on this great adventure you can hear the waves crashing on the beach. You can hear them even when you lie your head down at night. I can't say enough about this campground. We will definitely be back. The last night we were there it rained so hard that we woke up in a puddle, but that didn't even ruin our trip because we still had a great time. We even flew kites on the beach.
