Campground Review

Jigger Johnson is one of my favorite National Forest campgrounds. It is big with 74 very private, forested sites. There is a river in the back of the campground that you can hike to for swimming. It is on the Kancamagus Highway with all the hiking, swimming and beautiful views that you want. It is near Franconia Notch to the west and North Conway to the east for food and shopping. No reservations are accepted here, but we have never had problems getting in. Maybe on some holiday weekends, there might be a problem. There are showers here. It is a great place for campfires. The sites are large, so noise is not a problem.
