Campground Review

This is a gem of a campground. There are no utilities, but it has a place to swim and areas to hike. There are some sites looking out over Frenchman's Bay with views of Mt. Desert Island, where Acadia National Park is located. There are 62 wooded and some open campsites with hot showers. The fishermen come back at night to the dock with the lobsters and clams that they have caught. You might be able to buy some from them. At night, the sunset here is beautiful. Ellsworth and Bar Harbor and Acadia National Park are very busy during the summer months, but Lamoine State Park is off the beaten path, and we found it very quiet. There is a swimming area just down the road.
