Campground Review

A beautiful stand of old growth eastern hemlocks are along the Hemlock Trail. There are many trails to hike on. The history: in 1935 a group of men from the CCC (Civilian Conservation Corps) began to build this park and dam. The original dam is along the Pumphouse Trail. Laurel Hill Creek has native trout. This is a great park to visit, if you like to hike and fish. They have interpretive hikes and tours of the park, and there are things for the kids to do.
