Campground Review
Grundy Rocks! Arrogant Worms song notwithstanding: How many of us haven't paddled across Grundy (Gut, Gurd or Pakeshkag) Lake accompanied by close friends or family members bellowing out "rocks and trees and trees and rocks...and water." Grundy has the most beautiful scenery encompassing all of the above attributes and packaged up as only Ontario Parks knows how. No, they don't pay me to say that. They really are that good. Attentive like a 5-star hotel and staffed by a bunch of enthusiastic, friendly and professional college/university students. Wish I could hire a group like that for my business. There are great trails with clean picturesque sights. Try watching the sunset after a twilight swim on "The Rock" (east side of Grundy Lake between White Pine and Red Maple campgrounds). I guarantee it will warm you up sometime next January when the temperature drops to minus 20.
