Julie - I found this campground searching the Web, and I tent camped there in May 2006.

Campground Review

This campground seems very primitive. Even though there is water and vault toilets, the 19 spaces are very small, close together, and they are all under towering ponderosa pines and aspen trees. It is aside of Oak Creek in Oak Creek Canyon. Sheer mountain cliffs go straight to the sky across the creek. We saw a bald eagle flying around. The creek is stocked with trout, and we had some of the finest trout for dinner that we ever ate. Sadly, the Brins Fire has closed the park for now, but we will be heading back as soon as we can. There is no electric and there is no room for RVs of any kind. Tent camping at its best. There is a great swimming hole down at the end of the campground, and the creek is the best place for some swimming. You can also bring your dog as long as it is well-behaved.
