Cathy - My husband and I and several of our friends have been camping at the Lively Lady campground seasonally since 2001.

Campground Review

Not only does the area have an abundance of offerings, but the campground itself has a lot to offer. The campground is clean and well-maintained. The other campers are friendly, and the atmosphere is one of community (hard to find these days). Your kids get to be kids and do the things we used to do when we were kids. The owners of the campground offer activities at the pavilion over holidays (i.e. DJ, kids games for the 4th, hayrides in the fall, ice cream socials are a regular activity). There are two wineries within 15 minutes in either direction on Route 52. One winery has a superb restaurant with a veranda overlooking the Ohio River. The Rankin House in historic Ripley offers educational opportunities for the Underground Railroad and conducts tours through the house that played an integral part in freeing slaves. Maysville, KY, which is a hop, skip and a jump away, or preferably a drive across the bridge, is beautiful as well as historic and has a walking ghost tour not to be missed. If activity and touring is not your thing, relax, boat, meet your neighbor, and have a friend for life. Take a chance on this place, and you won't be disappointed.
