Terri - I found this campground on the Internet, and I RV camped there in August 2006.
Campground Review
We have never been to Cedar Key, and this was a nice clean campground. We rode bikes into town, which was only about a mile up the road, if that. It isn't a bad ride. The people are friendly. This is a place to go to get away. Cedar key is an old clamming and oyster town. When we arrived, the tide was low, it was muddy, and the crabs were everywhere in the mud. In the morning the tide comes in and fills in. Two of the docks are unusable due to a storm, and the bushes are overgrown in places. There was an excellent breeze there most of the time. It was a very quiet, laid back place. We enjoyed ourselves, and we would return with a boat next time. They rent scooters in town, golf carts, bikes, and boats. We ate at the Captain's Table, and it was very good.
