Describe your camping trip:
Cons: none
From David Sweet, former About.com Guide
This is the first time I have stayed in an Illinois campground, and now I know why. First of all, there are no trees in the camping area, no privacy or separation from your neighbors. 10 pm is supposed to be ""Quite Hours"" however at this time, they are still admitting people into the campground so they can blind everyone with their high beams as they search for the ""perfect"" spot. Then, they start setting up (IE Couples arguing, unpacking loudly, running air compressors) until well after midnight. Our neighbors were so loud and drunk DNR was down at their site for more than 30 minutes writing tickets and dumping out their booze, and it didn't help the noise level. There were campsites with literally 12 people and 5 tents on them when the limit is supposed to be 4 people 2 tents to any single site. Over crowded, poorly laid out, loud, obnoxious, and NOT EVEN WORTH THE $25 FOR A SINGLE NIGHT WITH ELECTRICITY. IF YOU ARE LOOKING TO CAMP IN ILLINOIS, DO NOT GO TO THIS PLACE FOR ANY REASON, NOT EVEN TO USE THE RESTROOM.
