Be the first to I knew about this campground because I grew up in Rome, NY. I camped there with my parents in 1970, and I've tent camped there every July since 2001.
Describe your camping trip:
Lake Delta (as it is known to locals) has around 100 campsites in three rings, a beautiful large beach, boating, and a large picnic area for day trips. It is located about 5 miles from Rome at the foothills of the Adirondack Mountains.
Pros: The campground has many lakefront sites available. The scenery is picturesque. The sites are large with plenty of trees between each site.
Cons: The showerhouse and restrooms have changed very little since I camped there as a 10-year-old in 1970. If I didn't love the park so much, I might not go there because of these.
