I found out about this campground because it is not far from home, and I RV camped there in August 2006.

Describe your camping trip:

The new RV sites are very nice, although shade is limited due to its newness. The bathhouses are the best we have seen. It is obvious that they did not cut any corners when it came to producing a top notch camping facility. The trout fly fishing is some of the best in the state, and the location is perfect.
Pros: Nice and quiet at night.

Cons: none
Nearby attractions: Blue Ridge Parkway, Mountain Culture Exhibit, Hutchinson Homestead

Further comments:

It would be nice to be able to make a reservation, but I'll take my chances on a site as I am sure they will fill up fast this fall.
