I found out about this campground on the Georgia state parks Web site, and I RV camped there in August 2006.
Describe your camping trip:
We stayed here for four days. It was spectacular.Pros: The park is very large. The sites are extremely large, most are pull-through with water and electrical hook-ups. The bath rooms are very clean. The park has a campground host on site who is available 24/7 to help. Very quiet. Campground has a playground and lots of room for children to ride bikes. Lots of history here. Park has paddle boats, swimming pool, lake for fishing that is stocked, and staging area for horse back riding.
Cons: It is about 20 to 30 minutes to the nearest city for shopping or dining.
