I found out about this campground in the Florida Camping Book, and I RV camped there in October 2006.

Describe your camping trip:

This campground is on the St. Johns River. It has pull-through and back-in full hookup RV sites. There is a wilderness area for tents, and it has a marina for boats. There are two pontoon boats and several canoes for rent.

Pros: Great views of the River. Boat ramp and marina. Manatee area. RV sites surround a catch and release fishing pond. Pond has a fountain in the middle.

Cons: It's six miles to the nearest store, and they have no store or supplies at campground.

Nearby attractions: Ocala National Forest, Ormond Beach, Silver Springs.
