I found out about this campground in Trailer Life, and I RV camped there in November 2006.

Describe your camping trip:

We camped at Ho Hum RV Park over the Thanksgiving Holiday. The park offered a Thanksgiving dinner for all the campers. Everyone brought a covered dish and socialized all day long. It was almost like being with family at home. They have a nice club house with a library and offer card and board games to anyone who wishes to participate. It was fun meeting others, making new friends, and doing things with our new friends.
Pros: We had a nice camp site with a beautiful view of St. Georges Bay.

Cons: none
Nearby attractions: the beach

Further comments:

We plan to camp there again.

Really enjoyed a week here May, '09, in a motorhome in a beachfront site ($199 per week). If you like to fish or sit and watch the ocean this place is for you. The town is small, nearest Walmart is 40 miles away but there is a Dollar Store, IGA, and hardware store in Carrabelle. We ate at 2Als, Funky Oyster, and the Fisherman's Wife, all were good but enjoyed Fisherman's the most even though it was a take-out place. We made side trips to Waukulla Park where we enjoyed the wildlife cruise and nice cloth tablecloth type restaurant, also enjoyed a day in Apalachicola. The beach at the campground isn't a swimming beach but there's a beautiful white sandy beach nearby at St. George Island (daily use fee of $5) and the city beach is also nice and it's free.
