I knew about this campground because I live in Delaware and camp there often. I RV camped there in October 2006.

Describe your camping trip:

This is a resort area and a state park. The campground is clean and usually crowded in the summer. There is no electric, so it is seasonal, but if you like the beach you will love Henlopen. The beach is accessible 24/7, if you are camping there. They have areas for swimmers and an area to take your four wheel drive. Dogs are permitted where you four wheel and that is a plus.
Pros: Close to the ocean. You camp about 1 mile inland, but still in the park. They allow pets on the beach, and it's a clean park.

Cons: There is no electricity, and it can get crowded.
Nearby attractions: Rehoboth Beach boardwalk, Cape May Lewes Ferry, many waterslides in the area, Dewey and the nightclubs.

Further comments:

We try to go at least once a month for the weekend.
