Assateague Island National Seashore, Berlin, MarylandCampground Review from David TimmonsGuide Rating - ![]() I found out about this campground on their Web site, and I RV camped there in October 2006. Describe your camping trip:We camped both on the bayside and ocean side. The bayside sites are very large, and the ocean sites are at the dune line. No hookups are available, but water and dump station are very close.Pros: Rangers are very helpful, and numerious nature trails and birding areas are available. The wild ponies are a big draw, and they walk through the campgrounds. Cons: none Nearby attractions: Near the large populated area of northern VA and DC. Further comments:Even in October reservations are a must, as this is a very popular desination. |
