I found out about this campground through their Web site, and I RV camped there in October 2006.
Describe your camping trip:
We were in Cortez for the Colorado Archaeological Society's annual meeting and a couple campgrounds nearer the meeting place was suggested. However, this campground had better rates and suited our needs better. The hosts were very enjoyable to talk with, the restrooms were incredibly clean, and there was lots of hot water for showers. They had a clean dog walk area with utensils for users to clean up with. We were the smallest unit in the campground and still felt welcome among the big rigs and fellow travelers.
Pros: Very clean showers and grounds. Nice shade trees. Easy to find, central location.
Cons: none
Cons: none
Nearby attractions: Anasazi Heritage Center, Mesa Verde National Park, Crow Canyon Archaeological Center, Ute Tribal Park
Further comments:
Great place to stay.
