I found out about this campground from friends, and I RV camped there in June 2006.
Describe your camping trip:
We stayed for 5 days in late June. Every night we had horrific thunder and lightening storms. Later we found out about terrible flash flooding. Our campsite was flooded out every morning. Yet this was the best camping trip we ever had. Anytime we think of camping anywhere, we compare it to Cherrystone.
Pros: My four kids (ages 4-10) woke up every morning, surveyed the damage from the storm, got their fishing pole and crabbing gear together, and went to the docks where they met with a big group of friends. We could easily buy breakfast (remember the night time flooding). The camp store was great. You could also order crabs every morning and have them for dinner. YUM! The people were great. The pools were great.
Cons: The dumpsters were unsightly, and some of the sites did not have a lot of privacy.

Nearby attractions: Chesapeake Bay
Further comments:
My kids would rather go to Cherrystone than Disneyworld.
