I found out about this campground in the KOA Directory, and I cabin camped there in March 2007.
Describe your camping trip:
The folks at this campground went out of their way to make sure everything about my visit was perfect. Check-in was speedy and efficient. They presented me with a 12 page pamphlet about their campground and local services, and they gave me a Chamber of Commerce brochure listing scenic tours of the area. They even gave me a chocolate chip cookie before escorting me to my cabin.
Pros: The restrooms were spotless, the grounds were beautifully landscaped and well-maintained, the gift shop was attractive, and the cabin I stayed in was comfortable, clean and conveniently located.
Cons: none
Cons: none
Nearby attractions: Historic Downtown, Gila Cliff Dwellings and Catwalk, Lake Roberts, City of Rocks and Ft. Bayard.
Further comments:
I'll go back whenever I'm in the area.
