Dan River Campground, Stoneville, North Carolina

I found out about this campground on the Internet, and I RV camped there in April 2007.

Describe your camping trip:

Run down trailer for check in. Unfriendly staff. Unreasonable policy about pets. We wanted to perform a few tricks with our Border Collie and a frisbee. The staff person wouldn't allow a few minutes off the leash for this. He actually made it his mission to put a stop to it a few minutes after we arrived. We packed up and left.

Pros: none, no playground or hiking trails.

Cons: Bad overall experience, and we left after 20 minutes.

Our leaving led us to a great campground with friendly people called Lake Reidsville City Park.
