Camping On The Gulf, Destin, Florida

I found out about this campground originally from a campground guide. I've been visiting there twice a year for ten years. I RV camped there in April 2007.

Describe your camping trip:

We go there in the spring and fall. I think it is the best campground in the U.S. It is clean, and the staff is always friendly. The beach is well kept, and it is as nice as any I've visited.

Pros: Friendly staff, cleanliness, people who know campers and their needs. They constantly ask how they can improve.

Cons: Worst part is trying to enter onto US 98 when leaving the campground due to high traffic count.

Nearby attractions: Silver Sands outlet mall (one of USA's largest), the beautiful emerald coast, lots of restaurants and shops.

Further comments:

Every time we camp there, we see people who were there previously. This campground does a lot of repeat business, and once you camp there you'll see why. They stay full most nights.
