I found out about this campground in Woodall's campground reviews, and I RV camped there in April 2007.
Describe your camping trip:
We stayed for five weeks while my husband was doing consulting work for his company. We really enjoyed our stay at Red Barn RV. The location is convenient to St. Louis without having to be too close to the city. Edwardsville is absolutely charming with much history and unique shopping. The park itself isn't large about 30 spaces. All the spaces have grassy areas with flowers and most with shade trees. The hosts keep it immaculately clean. We especially enjoyed the lovely setting surrounded by green fields with landscaping, garden swings and large gazebo.
Pros: Lovely landscaping and nice gazebo for gathering or reading. It is located away from town a few miles, so it feels quiet and secure. The hosts went out of their way to be helpful and friendly. Many of the guests said they traveled farther than usual just to stay here.
Cons: I can't say we found anything negative. Compared to other RV parks we have stayed in I rate it a 10. It didn't have any play areas, so would probably be better suited for adults.

Nearby attractions: Edwardsville is just a few miles and is quite charming. St Louis is about 10-15 minutes and is full of things to do. Lots of history too.
Further comments:
Easy on and off I-55. Quiet, peaceful, close to everything.
