This campground was recommended by another camper, and I've RV camped there various times in the last 10 years.

Describe your camping trip:

We were very disappointed to be told today that we are no longer welcome at this campground only because we travel with a German Shepherd dog. We have stayed there with a Shepherd several times, and they never created any problems whatsoever. They are quiet, we clean up after them, and we never allow them to run free as do some people with other breeds.

Campers who travel with their dogs may want to think twice before staying at this park. Even if you don't own a Shepherd you should recognize the problem here and that banning specific breeds is not the answer to the dog problem anywhere. If this park would enforce the rules they already have in place, there would be no reason to ban specific breeds. They need to ban the deed, not the breed.

Pros: Not much now.

Cons: Their ban on specific breeds of dogs and their failure to enforce their own rules including quiet time, unruly kids, and dogs running at large while their owners pay no attention.

Further comments:

If you go, do not request a site near the gazebo as it is used all night as a party spot and you wull not be able to sleep due to loud music and partying. There are no patrols after dark, so it is allowed to go on.
