I found out about this campground from friends, and I RV camped there in May 2007.

Describe your camping trip:

The campgrounds are very clean and well kept with good restroom facilties. Recreation areas include swimming pool, volleyball, horseshoes, ping pong and lake that is currently low with water. Sites are roomy with shade for most sites.
Pros: Staff was very friendly and accommodating. The pool was very clean. We had great access to the river 200 yards away for canoeing, kayaking and tubing. Our two daughters, 13 and 15, stayed busy all Memorial weekend. All pets must be kept on leash, which is nice. Close to Walmart.

Cons: none
Nearby attractions: Couple of small wineries.

Further comments:

I would recommend Dan River Campground to anyone wanting a quiet, peaceful, relaxing time to camp. The owners are very friendly and accommodating.
