I found out about this campground on the Internet, and I RV camped there in September 2006.
Describe your camping trip:
The campground itself was OK. It had a pretty lake. The bathrooms weren't great, offered no soap to wash your hands, were on the dirty side, and the showers were separate from the bathroom area, which was an inconvenience. Playground was small. Pool area was nice, but it was too cool for anyone to use it. Little to no activities for the kids. Our sites weren't great. Small sites.
Pros: Proximity to home.
Cons: The office staff was very rude and argumentative. The owner ran over my son's bicycle and another camper's bicycle also and has refused to pay for the damages. At the time of the incident, he agreed to pay for the damages, if we sent him the repair bill (in order to avoid the necessity of calling the police). In hindsight, although we did call the police and spoke to them on the phone about the incident, we should have insisted that they come to the campground, because now the owner refuses to pay for the damages after he gave his word to my eight year old son that he would pay. This was a brand new bike purchased only two months prior for my son's birthday present. Their own seasonal campers disclosed to us that it was in fact the owner who ran over the bicycles as he didn't have the decency to find the children that they belonged to and come to the campsite and let us know what had happened. He simply drove off and dragged the bikes until they dislodged from under his pickup truck. Gail in the office and her daughter were both very rude, and the owner Bob was the shameful person who promised to an eight year old that he would pay to fix the damage he caused to his bike and now has changed his mind. This place rots.

Further comments:
The lake is beautiful to look at, but that's it. The rudeness of the staff takes away from anything this campground has to offer, which wasn't much besides maybe looking at the lake.
