By David Sweet, About.com

I remembered this campground from our church group campout, and I RV camped there in May 2007.

Describe your camping trip:

The campground is very nice with open spaces separated, but together. It was a very nice, quiet family park.
Pros: This campground caters to families, but has more private sites for couples. It's close to the events and activities of the Lake Tahoe area.

Cons: none
Nearby attractions: Lake Tahoe, casinos, 4-wheeler trails, hikes, bike rides, and lots of room to explore.

Further comments:

Camp Richardson was very nice. Somehow somebody used our credit card and they re-imbursed us and gave us a free weekend for the trouble. We really like the folks there, they cater to their people.
