I found out about this campground on the Web site for Yosemite National Park, and I tent cabin camped there in May 2007.

Describe your camping trip:

We only stayed one night in Yosemite, at Curry Village, in one of the tent cabins. We loved the convenience of the raised wooden floor, the light and the beds with the linens provided. The particular tent we were assigned to had a propane heater provided, but we didn't even need it. This was the first time that we camped someplace where bears are, so it was rather interesting having to put everything into the bear lockers. The registration office has someone in it 24 hours a day. There's a pool, a free shuttle bus that runs every 10-20 minutes, a dining hall, a convenience store, restrooms throughout the campground, a lounge and lots of helpful employees and campers everywhere.
Pros: We loved the entire park and campground, except for the cons noted below.

Cons: It is kind of confusing trying to figure out the numbering system in the dark, so we recommend checking in early enough to be able to locate your tent in the light. Also, no campfires, so once it gets dark, you pretty much just go to bed, unless you want to sit in the dark.
Nearby attractions: All of the typical Yosemite sights: Bridalveil Falls, Mirror Lake, the mist trail, Half Dome, etc, not to mention just the beauty of the entire area.
